Auditions

Disney's Frozen Jr - September 15 & 16 at 6:30 PM!

Roles available for 20+ boys and girls, ages 5-18 (K-2nd grades), Auditions will consist of music, choreography, & directed activity. Please come dressed comfortably in shoes appropriate for safe movement/dancing (no open toes, no sandals, no crocs), and bring your conflict schedule for September 17-November 24. No other preparation necessary.

Performance Dates: November 8-10, 15-17, and  22-24

READER'S THEATER AUDITIONS 

A reader's theater is a dramatic reading that is staged, but requires no memorization and has only 4-6 rehearsals - perfect for an introduction to the stage or for the actor with limited time!

Grave Readings (reader's theater): October 6 at 7:00 PM

Roles available for 8 men and women, character ages 18-70.  Auditions will consist of directed activity and cold readings.  Please bring your conflict schedule for October 6-25. Performance date: October 25.

 A Christmas Carol (reader's theater): November 18 at 7 PM

Roles available for 20+ men and women - character ages 16-65 and 10-12 children - character ages 5-12.  Auditions are for a reader's theater performance on April 19, 2024.    Auditions will consist of directed activity and cold readings.  Please bring your conflict schedule for December 1 - December 13. Performance date: 13.

ADDITIONAL 2024-2025 AUDITIONS WILL BE POSTED AS THEY ARE SCHEDULED & CONFIRMED

Regarding Auditions:  Auditions take place at Hamilton Playhouse (100 Ricketts Rd., Hamilton, MT) unless otherwise listed. They usually consist of music, choreography, directed movement, and/or cold readings.  No prepared monologues are required unless specifically stated.

"Character age" refers to the age of the fictional character; the actor's age may be older or younger than the character being played.

Scripts are usually available for 48-hour checkout from Chapter One Book Store in Hamilton starting one month before the audition - Script checkout is suspended during the pandemic.

Outside auditions can be scheduled in advance (due to schedule conflict only please!) if the director is available; the more advance notice the better.
