Auditions

2026 Audition dates listed below.  Please check back to confirm audition dates the week of auditions (as dates are occasionally subject to change)

International Women's Day Reader's Theater (show title TBA soon!): February 22, 2026 at 7 PM

Roles available for 5-8 women, character ages 18-70.  Auditions will consist of cold readings and directed activity. Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.  Please bring your full calendar of rehearsal conflicts to fill out the conflict schedule on the audition paperwork.

White Rabbit, Red Rabbit: March 15, 2026 at 7 PM

Roles available for 2 people, character ages 18-70.  Auditions will consist of cold readings and directed activity.

WHITE RABBIT, RED RABBIT AUDITION RESTRICTIONS

  1. Auditioners must not read the script in advance of auditions.
  2. Due to mature content, auditioners must be at least 18 years old. 

Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet Reader's Theater: March 29, 2026 at 7 PM

Roles available for 510 men and 10 women, character ages 16-70.  Auditions will consist of cold readings and directed activity. Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.  Please bring your full calendar of rehearsal conflicts to fill out the conflict schedule on the audition paperwork.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: April 19 & 20, 2026 at 7 PM

Roles available for 8+ men (character ages 18-70) and 6+ women (character ages 18-70).  Auditions will consist of cold readings, music, choreography, and directed activity.  No prepared music or monologues.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.  Dress comfortably for onstage movement.  Please bring your full calendar of rehearsal conflicts to fill out the conflict schedule on the audition paperwork.

K-12 Cinderella (Rodgers & Hammerstein): September 20 & 21, 2026 at 6:30 PM

 Roles available for 30 boys and girls in grades K-12. No roles for adults available. Auditions will consist of music, choreography, and directed activity.  No cold readings, prepared music, or monologues. Please be familiar with at least 2 short nursery rhymes for audition activities.

Grave Readings Reader's Theater: September 22, 2026 at 7 PM

Roles available for 6-8 men and/or women, character ages 18-70.  Auditions will consist of cold readings and directed activity. Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.  Please bring your full calendar of rehearsal conflicts to fill out the conflict schedule on the audition paperwork.

2026 AUDITION DETAILS WILL BE POSTED AS THEY ARE SCHEDULED & CONFIRMED

Regarding Auditions:  Auditions take place at Hamilton Playhouse (100 Ricketts Rd., Hamilton, MT) unless otherwise listed. They usually consist of music, choreography, directed movement, and/or cold readings.  No prepared monologues are required unless specifically stated.

"Character age" refers to the age of the fictional character; the actor's age may be older or younger than the character being played.

Scripts are no longer available for check out prior to auditions, but we will try direct you to online resources.

Outside auditions can be scheduled in advance (due to schedule conflict only please!) if the director is available; the more advance notice the better.
