2024 Summer Theater Camps

Session 1: June 24-28 / Performance June 28 at 7 PM

  • Session 1 is a musical theater camp. K-2nd graders are 9 AM-Noon, and 3rd-12th graders are all-day, 9 AM - 5 PM.
  • This camp is under the musical supervision of long-time, acclaimed music educator Peggy Bucheit and professional music instructor/performer Tasha Fain. Throughout the week, they will work with Peggy and Tasha, as well as student and adult instructors to shape, design, and fine-tune their original musical production.  The final product will be presented on Friday, June 28 at 7 PM. 
  • All-day campers should bring a lunch.  A morning snack and an afternoon snack will be provided.
  • K-2nd Tuition is $100.  3rd-12th GradeTuition is $200

Session 2:  July 22-26 / Performance July 26 at 7 PM

  • Session 2 is a theater skills development camp. It is for 2nd - 12th graders. The camp runs 9  AM-Noon. 
  • The campers will be divided into grade combined grade sections.  Students will learn character development techniques and acting skills, as well as an overview of theater etiquette and technology.  
  • 2nd & 3rd graders will work with poetry and 4th-12th graders will work with monologues.  They will showcase their work as a production on Friday, July 26 at 7 PM in a combined showcase with session 3.
  • A morning snack will be provided.
  • 2nd -12th Grade Tuition is $100.  

Session 3: July 22-26 / Performance July 26 at 7 PM

  • Session 3 is an improv basics camp. It is for students in 4th - 12th grades.  The camp runs 1-5 PM.
  • The campers may be divided into grade sections of 4th-6th, and 7th-12th.  Students will learn and practice short and long-form improv skills.  
  • They will showcase their skills and progress as an improv presentation on Friday, July 26 at 7 PM (presentation combined with Session 2)
  • 4th-12th Grade Tuition is $125.

STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN SESSIONS 2 AND 3 HAVE A COMBINED, DISCOUNTED TUITION OF $200 AND MAY STAY AT THE PLAYHOUSE FOR LUNCH (NOON-1 PM).  IF YOUR STUDENT IS ENROLLING IN SESSION 2 AND SESSION 3, PLEASE SELECT THE DISCOUNTED TICKET ($100) WHEN REGISTERING FOR SESSION 3.

Registration is open now.  Tuition is non-refundable (except for a Hamilton Players' instigated cancellation).

Each session has a minimum participant requirement, or the session will be canceled. (In the event of cancellation due to a lack of participants, the registration fees for that session will be refunded.)

Tuition and Paperwork must be received by Hamilton Player prior to the start of camp.

A limited number of partial scholarships are available.  Scholarships are based on need and the application is available from the office or online HERE
